Registrying..

Hi, All.. we're expecting twins in october.. & i'm thinking of registering at BRU & Target..(BRU gives you 20% because of twins after your date)..and Target doesn't offer any percentage off..but just wondered if anyone has anything good or bad to say about registering at Target..

Thanks!

Re: Registrying..

  • I haven't heard anything bad about target and registering but I have heard bad things about BRU. I'd look into it before spending a lot of time on your registry. =)

  • Target USED to be horrid because of their return policy...it was a drag when I registered for my wedding there. But now you have 90 days to return your items but it doesn't specify (on the website anyway) if you get store credit only or if you can opt for cash.

The obvious PRO for Target is that they are ALL over the place and easily accessible for most people. It's one of the main reasons why I am registering there!

  • I'm registered at BRU and BBB, and although the experience isn't complete yet b/c we haven't had to deal with any returns or other issues, I will say that they both have one major flaw.  Many things you find in-store to scan are actually only there for floor models and still need to be purchased online.  Other things you might add from the internet at home are online-only and won't be in stores.  It makes it hard for you pick a good selection for your guests, especially if they aren't online shoppers.

My other major gripe with BRU that I learned recently is that if an item is an online-only item, it can only be returned online (and you pay shipping).  They also refund the purchase in the original form when you ship it back.... to the purchaser (so you have to call Great Aunt Sally and be totally embarrassed when explaining why there's a BRU credit on her statement next month).
