My sitter just emailed me, said Mikayla is sneezing and coughing a lot.  Ah!!  She's never been sick before!  Is there anything I can do to help her feel better/get better faster if she is sick?  I've heard a tip about running the shower to steam up the bathroom and then having her breathe that in for a bit to break up congestion (have you mommies tried this?).  Any other tips??

Ugg baby cold not fun. Robbie has had a cold now for a while. Stuffy nose and sneezing and coughing. I got a humidifier for his room and elevated his crib on one end to help his nose drain. I also have a snot sucker that I use to help clear our his nose.

I hope Miss Mikayla feels better soon.

Oh poor little M! I agree with the elevated crib trick and the nose sucker!  As for the nose sucker I did not know you were suppose to plug the other nostril if you are using one of the bulb suckers....so not sure if you knew that or not.    It really sucks good when you do that!

Have you tried the little Vicks waterless vaporizer?  It helped P when she got a cold.  It releases the menthol vapors and helps keep their noses dry(er).

I had no idea you were supposed to plug the other nostril! This will probably relieve a lot of snot-related frustration in the Noisy household.
