EpiPen in the summertime

My family recently went on a vacation to Florida and it was in the upper 80's some days. I was constantly wondering if i should be worried about my epipen since it was with us everywhere, including the pool, the sand.. right under the sun.

Now with the summer almost here and the weather getting hotter and hotter, what do you guys do to keep your EpiPens safe?

 

i got this from the epipen website and it says keep it at 77 degrees.  i think that's impossible to keep the epipen below 80. 

Where?s the best place to keep the EpiPen Auto-Injector? 

You should take your EpiPen Auto-Injector everywhere you go, but it should be kept at room temperature (25?C, 77?F) until the marked expiration date, when it should be replaced.The effectiveness of this drug may decrease after the expiration date therefore care should be taken to promptly refill the prescription before the expiration date. Your EpiPen Auto-Injector should not be refrigerated or exposed to extreme heat or light.

mine is always in the diaper bag no matter where I go. Jacobs not ANA to anything, but the allergist still rec'd me get one. I actually need to replace them since its been a year...thanks for reminding me

I use a case made by Frio  - it is designed for insulin, but just keeps things mildly cool in hot weather

Since I usually bring my camera bag just about everywhere (and it is kinda insulated) that's where I keep my epipen.

When we went to Fl we just kept my DDs in a bag out of direct sun light.

I have just kept DD's  in the diaper bag or my purse and out of direct sunlight.  I am wondering though if there is some kind of insulated bag or something.  I will have to play around on Google!

The allergist gave us a little insulated case for our epi-pens, and they're just always in the diaper bag too.
