Windshield Replacement Rec.

I need to have my windshield replaced.  Nothing happened...it's just a rock chip that turned into a big crack but I can't get it inspected until it's fixed.  (Which is stupid because it's nowhere near my vision but that's another rant.)  I know there are places that will come to my work or home to do it but I don't know which are good. 

Do you have any recommendations?  TIA!

We've had Safelite replace DH's windshield.  I have also set up appts to replace my boss's windshield and his wife's.  It's always been very easy to set up an appt and they are one of the ones that will come to your house, work, whereever to replace it.  I highly recommend them.

When I was in college a baseball went through my back window and I had it replaced at Binswanger Glass. They were really nice, but I'm not sure how the prices were (the university payed for it since it was on campus).

I've used Binswanger before and was pleased.  They got me in really quick (I went to them - not sure if they come to you) and it was easy-peasy.  It was from a hail storm, so insurance eventually reimbursed me for it, but I had to pay out of pocket at first because they were so backed up with claims (my windshield needed to be replaced ASAP - i could hear it losing suction against my car when I drove it)! 

safelite is running a ton of commercials right now, so I'd probably give them a call too if I was shopping around for a windshield.

I got a rock a few weeks ago and had Safelite come to the house and do it and it was awesome.  They were done in about an hour maybe and it was fairly reasonably priced.  Out the door it was like $275ish.

Ditto Purdue on getting two quotes. I've used Binswanger a handful of times- they're always quick, they came to my workplace and they had the best prices.
