My precious LO is moving all over the place.
I wake up and her head is under my ribs..then later that day she is on her side. You can imagine how uncomfortable this is for me with her moving constantly all day and night.
OH..and she hates when I lay down. I'm very small (5'1 and haven't gained that much weight) so her little home is small and when I lay down on my side like my doctor instructed me to do...she kicks the crap out of me until I sit back up. Now I sleep sitting upright and even then she still moves enough to wake me up now and then. She moves so much that friends and family can see her moving through my clothes.
Anybody else have an extremely active LO? I fear a C-section because I'm just about 31 weeks and I can't imagine her staying in any position for longer than an hour. And those of you Moms who had an overactive fetus..when he/she was born were they still very active? I'm nervous about that too because this one hardly ever sleeps.
Thanks for listening!
ps. She is head down some days too...and I heard that when they get to this position they stay...but no...not her. She'll be head down at noon and by 6pm her head is under my ribs.
Re: Overactive fetus anyone??
I've got a pretty darn active baby, too. Luckily it's staying head-down, though. But it likes to stick its feet up into my ribs for a little bit and make it so I can't sit up until it moves. I sleep through the night with it moving around (when I'm out, I'm out), but it wakes my husband up pretty much every night with its moving around.
I am not worried about the movement and a c-section. I have a feeling when they're trying to get out, they do what they need to and will probably not dance around as much and the doctors know what they're doing with the scalpel.
As for the baby's temperament, sometimes they come out wired and active and sometimes the opposite. You can't really base it off of how they are in the womb.
I've always wondered how ppl can tell what part of the body is where. I have no clue all I know is that there's a baby in there and that they're moving around.
FWIW DD was a non-stop mover when I was pregnant with her and my mom nick named her wiggle and it fits her to a tee! She has not stopped moving since she was born. A true ball of energy which is great except most days when I just don't have it in me to move as much as her.
My boy is pretty active. Since he turned head down he has stayed there and his butt was under my ribs until he dropped but I still get those painful kicks to the side when I lay on my side, I imagine he is in a sort of pretzel position. He liked to lay sideways when he was smaller but those kicks weren't near as strong as the ones now. I can still feel his butt up higher than the kicks so that's where I get the idea hes in a pretzel.
How far along are you, if you don't mind my asking?
My little one is non stop as well. I actually got worried yesterday because there was a little over an hour where she was not moving and that is not like her. I believe my LO is head down now, but her little bottom and feet keep going from one side to the other. She also kicks me when I lay on my sides. She has hiccups all the time. At first it was cute, now it?s getting uncomfortable! J
Yes!!!! I've been feeling her for awhile of course but in the last week, she has been moving sooooo much! Before this past week I would feel her at certain times but now it's just all the time. I'm about to start worrying that she never sleeps
I have no idea what position she is ever in, I can't tell at all. But I can often feel her in two or three places at once, which seems impossible but maybe she's doing jumping jacks or something.
I'm not worried about her position either by the way. She was head down at 27 weeks on an ultrasound, but she has probably flipped a bunch since then. They can move a lot before they settle into whatever position they stay in.

Ditto all of this.
Ok wow we are very similar...I was 108 to start...5'1. I've gained 20 pounds and am now 30 weeks 5 days..or 6 days...well I turn 31 weeks on Saturday so whatever that makes me. But I do feel like she's squished...especially when I lay on my side which is supposed to be the best. But when I lay on my side and put my hand under my belly I feel a pile of scrunched up bones and a very wiggly kicky baby. And if I even think about laying on my back she will go ba-zerk (not sure that's how you spell ba-zerk lol) But yeah...laying on the back is out..laying on my side is miserable and sitting up seems to be the only way she is calm. They say having a newborn you get no sleep. I'm a little nervous about that, seeing as how I get no sleep now, and I've got about 8 or 9 weeks to go!
I do understand that. There are somedays I don't know if it's a foot I'm touching or a back or a butt or a head. I just know..it's a baby lol. But there are days when I can clearly tell it's her head or her little feet (as I affectionately call her now..Little Foot). And then sometimes I lay my iphone on my stomach and put it on speaker and it's usually her head that moves first from recognizing the noise. So I can tell that way too.

your weight gain has nothing to do with how squished they are in there. baby will stretch out the uterus as it grows. Eventually it will get to snug in there to move aorund as much, you're at a very active part of pregnancy.
Wht you eat can trigger things, too. If i have anything orange (gatorade, juice etc) baby goes crazy.
