I have always wanted to be a mom, but after a traumatic brain injury caused by a drunk driver in '01, when I was 19 years old.......things have been questionable!!! It's been about 10 years, and I've had to be on pills to ovulate, and birth control in order to GET a period. 6 months ago my husband and I were married and we wanted to start trying right away, knowing that we may have difficulties.
I just wandered if anyone out there has gone through something similar, or knows someone in this type of situation, and would be willing to share advice that they may have. Or if you happen to be familiar T.B.I.'s................or ANY advice at all
Re: Trouble conceiving after a T.B.I.
Thank you for posting a reply! I've never posted anything, but I thought I'd give it a tr! Thanks for the compliment about the T.B.I. It's been a long 10 years, but I found the right man, and we're ready to start trying to start a family.
I've asked my main doctors, and my case manager is making an appointment with a preconception shecialist. The doctor must be popular, because the earliest that I can get in is towards the end of July!!!
You may want to post over on the infertility board. There is a woman over there (SN eludes me), with a DH with TBI. Maybe she has some more information or can help in some way.
