Asked a lot of questions, did a pap & uterine exam, gave me a ton of handouts, took a lot of blood - made me an appointment for 4 weeks from now.
However I do get to go back next week for an early u/s to establish a more concrete due date (we weren't yet trying and expected ovulation doesn't line up with when we did the deed) and they want to check for multiples as they run in my family. Ordinarily they wouldn't have done this, they only do u/s in the office on weds so i figured it was easy enough to just go next week. was smart this time and made it for 8am so i dont have to wait all day.
over all not very exciting, but looking forward to next week and glad i don't have to wait until NT or 18w gender one.
Re: First Prenatal App & what they did
We just had our first appt. today, too. Much of the same...pee in a cup, take lots of vials of blood, and receive lots of info/pamphlets. Two weeks from now we get to hear the heartbeat (I'll be 10 weeks). First u/s isn't until 20 weeks when gender is determined. That seems so far away!
