Hellooooo January!

Hi Ladies! I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I have been reading your posts for a few days now and thought it was time I actually participate. I am excited to join in the convo!

A little about my pregnancy and history. DH and I tried to get pregnant for close to 2 years, with no luck. We finally stopped pressuring ourselves and were convinced we couldn't have kids at all. A short two months after we "threw in the towel", we got our good news!

First OB appt & u/s were last Tuesday. According to LMP, I should have been 8 weeks exactly, but they measured me at 6w1d. We heard a lovely heartbeat, rate was a little slow (103) so the doctor wants me to come in for another u/s tomorrow. She explained it was nothing to worry about. Progesterone levels were "borderline" (10.8), so I am on nasty vaginal suppositories for the next 3.5 weeks. Both make me a little nervous, but I am keeping the positive thoughts flowing.

I have all of the normal symptoms (exhaustion like nobody's business, nausea all day, random swelling, headaches and lots of bloat), but I am happy to suffer through it for the end result! This is our first little one, so we are very excited and keeping our fingers crossed.

Thank you all for posting so much everyday. Seriously, you have already eased my mind more times than I can count.

You click on "My Bump" then click to edit your profile. On the top left it will say, "Edit my avatar and signature". Click on that and edit away! I was having troubles editing mine the other day and had to message a mod, so I didn't know if you were having those issues too. They fixed it though, so if you do have trouble, you could try that too!

Welcome to the board and congrats! We tried for over 2.5 years so I know the feeling. Because I was seeing an RE, I've done the suppositories many a time.... They are nasty but they do help! Just remember to always wear a pantyliner... and stick it in as far as you can. Good luck with your next u/s!
