Where did they come up with this?

I have the Belly Book and Pregnancy Day by Day--they both say that I'm in the 3rd Tri now that I'm at 25 weeks....huh?  

I'm for sure counting 3rd Tri at 26w6d (I'll probably just say it at 27w), but I'm just wondering where they would have come up with this....?  Any ideas?

My OB unofficially counts 3rd Tri at 24w b/c of Viability, but that's completely unofficial.  He says officially, it begins at 27w.

    The different opinions on how we reproduce make me wonder if anyone knows what really happens in there, honestly!  Stick out tongue

    So man probably looked at a pregnanncy calendar and the spun his finger over it and where I landed he dubbed their tri.

    I remember reading that there were 3 different ways to calculate the trimesters.  One was based on development, one on 40 divided by 3 and one on 38 divided by 3 plus something I think.  Maybe that's why it is saying something different?

    Yeah......15 weeks left.......hmmmmm.

    Hopefully I get excited soon :)

    I'm still feeling like it's taking forever and I don't understand how my OB is making me suffer through 20 weeks with no u/s!!!  What if something is wrong?!?  I have an appt next week and I'm going to beg him for at least one more u/s at one point.  I've been having dreams the cord is around her neck.
