Hi all,
I am on my 3rd cycle post D&C, and my 1st cycle TTC, I am really excited to beging TTC again and am trying to be positive, but I do still have feelings of jealousy etc. Which I'm not sure will ever go away ...
I was just curious if any of you have used the technique to have sex every other day, I wanted to try this first before charting & testing since the previous pregnancy was my 1st .... have any of you had success with this?
I want to be pregnant again so bad, I just want to know something that has success, sorry if that sounds desperate!
Re: EOD Plan?
Hi, I am sorry for your loss, but congrats on your first cycle TTC again, that's great news!
I think I did the EOD thing, but I ended up having to guess my O date because I O'd a few days before my temp spike. You can check out my chart, it's clicky and in my siggy.
You can also click on a lot of other people's bfp charts on here, but really, I think there's likely a mix. Some people did EOD and it worked, some people went at it like rabbits and that worked too, others I think might have got lucky with just a few days of baby dancin'.
The important thing is to try and keep stress out of it (which can be difficult sometimes). Have fun, and I hope to see you posting over here regularly soon!

congrats on your first cycle TTCAL. this is going to sound crazy but, we did it EOD starting at CD7 - this was my first cycle TTC post D&C and i wasn't sure if my cycles would be regular or if i'd O early or what, so just to cover bases, we did it. then, i had this old app on my phone that i used to track my cycles before TTC, and it would show me my fertile window. those aren't very reliable, however, we started doing it every day as soon as that phone showed fertile and continued doing it every day until i got a positive OPK. then, just to be safe we did it one day extra. obviously, we did it alot, ha.
check out my chart! and you can check out other people's charts like Hadley said and get an idea. hope this helps! and hope to see you over here soon!

Sorry for your loss and GL with TTCAL!
We did EOD starting around CD10-12, and then when I got a + OPK, we did ED. I had really wonky cycles, so it usually meant we had A LOT of BDing. I O'd late also. It got really tiring. I'm sure EOD would be completely sufficient, but once I got that +OPK I couldn't help but BD every day until I saw a clear thermal shift on my chart.
I think it really depends on the quality of your DH's spunk to help you answer that question. If we have sex every day, DH just doesn't produce as much quality juice by the time I ovulate. For other people, a deluge of sperm is the way to go.
I REALLY recommend charting, so that you know when you ovulate. You don't have to test (using OPKs or HPTs) if you don't want to. Honestly, there is just no way to know if you've had sex in the right window unless you know that you were popping out an egg.
Remember, TTCing is stressful, and just having sex every other day for an entire month isn't for everyone. If you and your DH don't already have a sex schedule like that, it can be very frustrating to try and up it when it involves the added pressure of trying to get pregnant. Then you add your loss into the mix, and you've got such a petri dish of stress that you can drive yourself crazy.
We did the EOD method from about day 10-day 20 of my cycle. My cycle is usually about 29-31 days. It worked out for us the first cycle we could try after my miscarriage. But before the miscarriage it took us about 6 months of TTC, but I don't think we were trying as hard during that period.
It's definitely important to try and stay calm and relaxed. Also, to try and deal with some of your feelings of jealously. I found that journaling and talking with my husband helped immensely.
Good luck to you!
First I wanted to say that I'm so sorry for your loss. It's great that you're going to be TTC again. I got pg the first time BDing EOD. However, after my first loss my cycles were really all over the place so we took a more targeted approach because I wanted to do all we could to increase our chances. If you go with the EOD plan then I would just do it over a pretty long time period. Pre-m/c I O'ed around CD 12 and post-m/c it's been anywhere from CD 8 to CD 17. GL!!!

I'm sorry for your loss.
We had been trying to do EOD before our first BFP and weren't successful until we started charting. I discovered I was Oing later in my cycles, by which point we hadn't been so vigilant about doing EOD. I was hesitant about charting, but once I started I liked the feeling of being more in control. I was temping and doing OPKs. We would do EOD from CD10 until we got an OPK+ and then do every day for 2 or 3 days. It took us 5 cycles to get our second BFP. GL!

I am very sorry for your loss. TTCAL is definitely a big step!
This was what DH and I did almost exactly. It took us 4 cycles after my loss (3 were TTCAL) for me to get pregnant. Best of luck to you! Try not to get discouraged. I know even 1 or 2 cycles can seem like decades when you're going through it. Happy Humping!
I'm very sorry for your loss, but congratulations on TTC again.
I was on medicated cycles, so we had strict instructions for when we had to BD. We were told to BD EOD from CD 11 on. I went in for follie checks starting on CD 12. Then when it looked like it was time to trigger, we were supposed to BD the night before trigger, do the shot the next day, then BD the following two mornings.
I think there have been a lot of different methods, but unless YH has a MFI issue, EOD should be a good plan. Just try not to get too worn out.
GL!
