restaurant rec in SW austin

i'm going to be in SW austin around dinner time tonight and my original plans got canceled so i'm wondering if anyone has a rec on where to eat. i live north (mopac/parmer) so i'm not familiar with this area but any suggestions in the 290/71 Y area, brodie, dripping springs? etc area would be appreciated- especially any place unique to down south that i wouldnt normally get to eat at. the only thing is ill have my dog with me so dinner will have to be outside/to go/at a trailer. thanks!!

ETA: Nevermind, I didn't see the dog thing and I don't think JA is cool with that.

I would call and ask, but I know this place has a patio and might allow dogs. It is really good too.

There is a Torchy's Tacos on William Cannon with outside seating. I see dogs there sometimes.

Nutty Brown wouldn't be a good idea tonight, its the KVET free TX music series and will be packed. 

There aren't a ton of dog friendly places in that area that I can think of.  You could do Torchys on William Cannon.  There is an outside seating and we have taken our dog before.

i can't really think of anyplace you can take your dog!  i'm not sure nutty brown allows them anyway (even if tonight wasn't packed).  torchy's patio is a good idea.  or maybe doc's patio?  if you like indian, you could get tarka and sit outside too.

Evangeline's Cafe is on Brodie just south of William Cannon - they have outdoor seating. Good cajun food.

Lots of good local restaurants near the Costco at William Cannon & Mopac with outdoor seating - Chuy's, Mandola's, Torchy's, Kerbey Lane.

Chuy's does not let you bring dogs.

Doc's on Brodie does, though.

I bet Torchy's does as well.

Uncle Billy's on Barton is dog friendly.  They have a big outdoor seating area.  Great food!  There is also a trailer park of food off South Congress... there are multiple trailers, but I've only been to Hey Cupcake.

Maybe like 10 min from oak hill - you could go to the grove at bee cave and 360. we were there last night and we saw 2 dogs out on the patio. it is a wine bar with pizza and salads and stuff
