Re: ~*~*~Wednesday Ticker Change Check In!~*~*~
I am 30 weeks today, and I am so shocked that I made it this far that you could knock me over with a feather! Over the last two weekends, DH (with me "helpfully" watching) has set up the nursery. The room is painted, all of the furniture is in, and we are starting to fill the drawers with things. Now we just need some final accessories and decorations, and it will be ready for our little girl!
I had my three hour yesterday [:o<], and I should find out the results today. I'm not very hopeful, but at least GD is something treatable.
NBRQOTD: We are probably going to a museum in the capitol this weekend. DH wants to go to the Air and Space Museum, but I may veto that. My dad is coming for a week and so is his, so we may want to save that one for them. I'm going to do some research and see what our options are.
BRQOTD: For me, there is no question, I am the most excited about Halloween! Raquel is getting a T. Rex costume, and Duke (our Westie) will be getting a stegosaurus costume patterned after his snuggie. DH and I are going to be Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler, respectively. We are having a party (hopefully people will come
), and the food table is going to be decorated like the front of the T. Rex cage, complete with Raquel's Sleep Sheep playing the goat!
DH is super excited about my excitement, and right now that is the holiday he is the most excited about. I'm sure it will turn into Christmas, but we'll deal with that when it comes.
OMG, I kept thinking that today was Tuesday, so woooooot, I am 16 weeks today!
I had a good appt on Monday, just a doppler check, but my a/s is now scheduled for June 6th....soooo close!
Memorial Day? Well, I was supposed to go with my friends to Montreal, Canada, and that would have been my FIRST stamp on my passport, but they are wanting to go to Atlantic City =/. I have never been there either though, so we will have fun either way. This lady likes to gamble, but it's not a good thing! I don't think a casino will be as much fun since I can't drink, but I am willing to make the most of this holiday weekend.
Um....fav holiday for LO................CHRISTMAS!!!!!! It's always going to be Christmas, that is my absolute most favorite holiday ever, it always has been. My BFF and I even have to call each other once in July to make sure that we both have listened to just one Christmas song that month...it's become a tiny ritual, and then we don't listen to Christmas music again until November. We don't have any special plans, but I just love all the "love" that is felt around that holiday and all of the family gatherings...plus, I will be on mat leave anyway, so it will be super sweet!

I hope you pass your GD test!
The air and space museum sounds neat to me, but some quality time with all of the dads could be nice and relaxing...go out to eat or have a cook out or something like that.
Wow, I will have to try to rembemer to request a PIP on the PGAL board of Raquel and Duke together....that sounds like it's going to be a really great holiday!

I'm 25 weeks today. No appts or milestones--even though both of my pg books say I'm in 3rd Tri now. Have an appt next week.
NBRQOTD: Holidays suck for me until the baby comes
I'll be a SAHM after that so I will actually get to celebrate holidays. I work in retail so right now I work every holiday. I will be working all weekend. Boo.
BRQOTD: I am looking forward to all of them! I won't be working and I actually will get to participate! I guess the one I'm most looking forward to is Christmas. We didn't really do anything for Christmas last year because I should of had a newborn, so I was really Bah Humbug. But I also think Halloween will be fun to dress her up
Holy crap ladies!! It's so crazy to see how fast some of your pregnancies are going!! Woohoo! Love ticker change Wednesdays!
I'm 26 weeks today! Holla! No big milestones but I've been feeling a lot more distinct movement and the baby now will respond when I poke him/her which is so freaking awesome. Before when I would panic and try and jiggle my belly I'd get nothing, but now when I do it, I'll get a swift karate kick telling me to knock it the eff off. I love it!!! No appointments recently and I still have 2 1/2 weeks til my next appointment where I'll get mt 1 hour GTT done. Not looking forward to that at all.
NBRQOTD: What are your plans for Memorial Day? Details, ladies, details!!!! We're just having a low key cookout at our house. DH's college buddy and his wife are coming down from NJ and bringing their dog and staying with us. We're having a few other couples over on Saturday for some burgers, drinking (not for me obviously) and some lawn games. I hope the weather is nice.
BRQOTD: What holiday are you most looking forward to with your LO? If your DH has a different holiday, post that too! OF course we need a why and any special plans! I am most looking forward to this Christmas!! DH and I have always said that when we have kids we were going to stop traveling for holidays and just enjoy a quiet day at home with our little family. I am SO beyond excited just spending a leisurely day in my PJs with my husband and new baby. DH and I made each other stockings when we first started dating and I'm so excited to make one for our LO. I found out I was pregnant last year right before Christmas so I'm just excited to be able to see it come full circle.
16 weeks today and I can hardly believe it. No major milestones lately, but still cookin', so I'm not complaining.
Memorial day won't be that exciting- I'm probably working from home on Monday, and we are going to try to get the rest of our garden in this weekend. DH is really struggling right now and I know that he needs a weekend of no obligations.
I'm most looking forward to Christmas I guess just because of all of the family excitement, though my gut reaction was to say veteran's day. I know for my DH veterans day is a really big day and knowing that he is home, and safe, and will have a (hopefully) healthy LO to show off to the guys in his unit will be pretty special. We'll probably go to a parade (provided LO's arrival date allows for it) and do something really great to honor my DH. It's good for him to know that we appreciate everything he has done for us.
I'm now 11 weeks and just had an appointment yesterday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat and confirm everything is still going ok. I'm hoping now I can calm down for a while at least.
DH and I are traveling to Michigan to visit my family for Memorial weekend. Both of my nieces were born in May so we'll be celebrating their 3rd and 1st birthdays as well. I'm also planning on telling extended family (grandparents, aunts/uncles) when I see them at the parties which is a pretty big milestone for me.
I'm most looking forward to Christmas as it will be the first holiday I'll get to spend with my LO. May have to push back celebrating a week or two though seeing I'm due Dec 14th and have to travel 6 hours to get home. Guess we'll see. I think I'll make a rule that if they want to see the new baby, they have to celebrate Christmas twice.
