My daughter is going to Cuba with my grandmother in two weeks so I have to decide today what to send. They have no washers and I'll send some soap but they wash everything by hand and line dry it.
What is the easiest no fuss system to send? Prefolds and some covers? Most children are potty trained anywhere from 9 months to 18 months in Cuba.
Re: cloth diapering system for Cuba
Flats and PUL covers.
Flats are super easy - they're designed to be easily hand washed. So is PUL. Send liquid soap for hand washing. GL!
I think prefolds and covers would be the easiest. And probably some pins and/or snappis.Maybe printouts of different folds to try? I'd be lost without the internet, and I don't think that's easy to come by in Cuba.
I know there are people doing a flats and handwashing challenge right now (according to my Facebook feed), but that depends on if they know what to do with flats. I sure don't.

Thanks, ladies. I didn't think of liquid soap. I would have sent powder:)
And internet is spotty but they can sometimes get it at the libary as long as it's not anti communist propaganda. I doubt Fidelt thinks prefolds are anti communist but you never know, lol.
I'm going to printout some pictures and I have 3 snappis to send and so I just have to order the prfolds and covers.
Thanks.

I suggest flats or prefolds and Thirsties, with 3 snappis. I have a friend in Costa Rica and this is the only thing that dries in a reasonable time. She uses a "camp washer"- a 5 gallon bucket and a plunger, to wash. Works quite well for her.
