I am so glad you ladies taught me what that meant. Fertile Hoe is the best description for many of the pregnant ladies around me. I love it.

Anyways there is a girl in my building (not in my work thank God) who has been telling people she is pregnant long before I have. I always see her in our deli that's how I know who she is. It's not her first kid either so why she just couldn't wait is beyond me. That's not the part that bothers me though. Today she went for a 12 week scan. (all of this I overheard from her mouth) So she brings in her u/s picture to show everyone how her baby is in fact a boy. Correct me if I am wrong but I really didn't think you could tell babies gender at 12 weeks? Maybe by the angle of the dangle though? She was telling her friend and anyone who would listen how her baby has big junk so it's obvious he is a boy. She also said the tech agreed with her. I couldn't help but laugh to myself and think I hope she buys all boy things and has a girl.

That's exactly what I thought. I am a dr. google freak and I remember before my NT scan I looked it up. Both genders have what looks like a wiener. I really wanted to burst her bubble but I just laughed to myself.

I think it is possible, but highly unlikely to get a correct gender at 12 weeks.  I know that I was seen at a little over 11 weeks and they said girl, because they saw the 3 lines.  Well, guess the angle was off a bit because at 18 weeks there was definitely a dangle.

This. My MFM guessed at our 12w NT scan but I'm not painting the nursery pink until I get some concrete proof.

I am not even trying to hate on her for having an early guess. Her confidence in "his" gender and comments were cracking me up more then anything.

That is too funny... I would also be secretly hoping for her to have a girl after thinking it's a boy.  Also, I laughed out loud when I read "wiener" - sometimes I have the sense of humor of a 5th grade boy.

This reminds me of all the girls on the Nov. BMB who just KNOW what they're having, based on their NT scan.  Hardly anyone mentions that it's a guess... they just KNOW!
