You mentioned about insurance not covering Lasik in my post below.  My insurance covered 20% of my husband's lasik surgery.  I know it is not much, but it was nice. If you or someone in your family is considering lasik, definitely check with your insurance if they will pay a percent towards it.

  • Thanks Deepak.  I was not precise in my response, I meant the account couldbe used to pay for the uncovered portion in that scenario, or other elective procedure costs not necessarily covered by insurance. 

    My DH planned to get Lasik a few years ago but changed his mind at the last minute -- He still grumbles about his glasses and contacts every day.
