Nipple Size...as in bottle nipples ;)

When do you move up from a slow nipple to a fast one?  Also if we move up to a fast one will it increase spit-up and air intake....or make that whole situation better?

Cruz never liked anything faster than a 2.  In fact he still takes bottles with a 2 we tried 3's but he always acted like he was drowning.  If they seem frusterated that its not coming out fast enough I would say that is when to switch.

I've heard you can try moving up if the baby seems to eat frantically/take a long time to finish a bottle, and if she spits up it's a good idea to go back.  Mikayla still eats pretty fast and burps like a sailor (seriously, you can hear her 2 houses down) so I doubt we're going to move up anytime soon.

If she sucks the bottle dry in less than 5mins flat, it might be time to move up a size.  lol

We still have P on the slow nips, but she's never been a big eater either.  Can't hurt to try them.  I think the playtex silicone nips have a med size too?

We never moved up.   They only need to move up if they're having trouble getting enough or if it's taking a long time for them to eat.

A faster one will probably make them gulp more.

actually if they suck it dry that fast, they don't need to move up.  Maybe they need more milk, but not faster flow.
