Doppler at 10 Weeks?

Just wondering if there are any second time moms here who could tell me if they were able to hear the heartbeat with a doppler at 10 weeks?

My next OB appointment is in two weeks and I'm a paranoid lunatic who always thinks there's something wrong with the baby, so if I can ask them to use a doppler to hear the heartbeat, that would be awesome.

My Dr. did not use the doppler until after 12 weeks.  I did have an ultrasound though at my second appointment that was probably around 10 weeks with my daughter.  I saw the HB, but did not hear it.  I finally heard her heartbeat at my NT scan and every appointment after that.

My doctor didn't do it at 10 weeks, but I bought my own and was able to find it (with a full bladder) at 10 weeks 2 days.

Silly question, do you know if you are over weight, will it be harder to find the hb?
