First follie check

I had 6 follies on my right that ranged from 4-7, and only 1 on my left that was 4.  I am on day 5 of stims.  I am trying not to be discouraged, but it's hard.  I'm glad they are all staying around the same size, I just expected more going on in there.  I'm relatively young, have good lab results, and had an IUI cycle with 5 follies and an AFC in Sept of 17.  I just don't understand why I have so few follies on an IVF cycle.  Hoping there are some hiding.

I have to wait for my nurse to call this afternoon with my e2 to see what they want me to do.  In the meantime, going to try be positive Penny and remember that it's quality over quantity and that it only takes one.

Oh, and on a positive note, my lining is already at 6!  Most of my cycles I've struggled to even get to 6, so to be looking good this early is great for me.

I wish I had some insight for you on the follie situation, but as you know, I'm in the same boat. I hope some more start to pop up. It's great that your lining is thickening up!

Good for you, looking at things positively! Your lining sounds like it's looking good and I really hope your follies surprise you and catch up to where they should be. For some reason, I don't get many follies during IVF either and all of my other tests are fine. I don't understand why things happen the way they happen, but at some point, I just accept that there is a plan that is much larger than me.

Great news for the lining!  And I so understand your frustrations on the follie count.  For my first IVF only a  year ago (Feb 2010), I had 27 AFCs and got 18 eggs.  Fast forward to Feb. 2011 and I had 6 AFCs and only got 7 eggs.  It blows my mind.  I am barely 30 years old, healthy and have a normal FSH.  Ugh, it's beyond frustrating!

Best of luck and I hope you do have lots of great quality eggs in that bunch!!  I'll be watching for your updates this week!
