I didnt mention my pregnancy at my interview today afraid they wouldnt hire me because of it!  Anyone here start a new job and wait to tell them you are preggo??

Started a new job pretty early in this pregnancy, but I didn't tell them until later. My bosses were very supportive. Ditto checking the company's leave policies and getting familiar with FMLA.

I'm also looking for a job and would not mention that I'm pregnant until after I've received an offer and accepted.  You aren't obligated to inform them at this stage.  Good luck with the job search!

I did get my current job when I was pregnant with the last one. I wasn't planning to tell them until they offered me the job, but before I accepted it.  Unfortunately, I had to push back my start date 1 week in order to have a D&C, but they were very supportive from the beginning.

With this pregnancy, I told my boss at 6 weeks (due to lots of Dr. appts.)  I am now out to HR and pretty much everyone, and they have all been very supportive.  I am not eligible for FMLA, which just means I don't have the job protection.  I am not worried about it because I work for a great company that wouldn't let me go just for being on maternity leave. 

I am still eligible for the normal maternity leave (6 weeks total) and I am sure if I wanted to take more (with PTO or unpaid) they would let me.

I just had an interview this week at 17 weeks also.  I debated a lot about when to tell them, and everyone said not to.  So if I'm offered the job, then I'll tell them when I accept it and hope they are understanding and don't hold it against me.  Good luck with the job!

I hope your interview went well!  And I will (hopefully) be in the same boat as you soon.  I applied for a job but the posting doesn't close until tomorrow, so I don't expect to hear from anyone until maybe next week.  I don't know if I am going to tell them or not,  I would have to skype interview, so it is really tempting to just "hide it" until FX I get a job offer...then I would really feel like I need to tell them.

Gosh, I am sorry, that was rambling.  It's really a tough decision, but you would have to tell them at some point.  Good luck with what you decide and let us know how things turn out!
