Two Under 2

Is there a daily "It gets easier!" post?

I swear, sometimes I really need some good reminders about it getting easier with two. Mine are 16 or so months apart and some days just feel like they will never end. Add DH being out of town all week and I might lose my mind.

So I think I might need some e-hugs or something about it getting better and easier. Standard warm and fuzzy type stuff...anyone?

  • I feel you.  DH is on a 48 hour shift and this is my first time alone with the 2.  I'm ok so far but I'm a little scared about tonight.  E-hugs to you :)

  • You can do it ladies!  I had it the opposite way, things were awesome when DD2 was smaller.  For some reason my little angel has turned into a very fussy baby.  I count down the minutes until DH gets home from work :)  Some days are always going to be better than others though, and sometimes someone will just have to cry for a little bit until you can get to them.  Just take one thing at a time, and remember if everyone is asleep for 10 minutes take a nice hot shower and relax!

  • I had a tough day today, both kids sick, dh gone for work. I just gotta remember this is the hardest but very rewarding job. Your babies love you soo much. Big hug! Your doing fantastic
  • Hang in there Mama!!! It does get easier. (Mine are 16.5 months apart as well)

When DS2 was first born there were times I wondered what I had done to my life. Honestly, I wondered how I would ever get through. But you do, and you will make it! Each month will just get easier than the last and before you know it it will go from being stressful to having fun. Of course we still have our moments, but they are fewer and farther between than they were before.

I agree. For me the easy part was when the baby was an infant. Now that I have 2 toddler things are getting crazy altough I have to say that my son is more independent which helps. I think I am just burnt out at this point lol. Still wouldn't trade it for anything.

  • My DH is out of town this week too so I am definitely feeling the pressure of being alone with my two LOs.  It took DD about three hours to fall asleep tonight which is really unusual for her but she is always a little out of sorts when my DH is away for work.  I finally shouted at her to get in bed and stay there and then she cried and then I cried.  I just feel so guilty that her brother gets so much of my attention now and because I'm so tired I just don't have the patience that I need and want to be a good mom to her.  Ugh, I hope we all sleep well tonight so that tomorrow is a better day.
