Requesting Medical Records?

I know this question is asked often and the answers will vary, but for those of you who requested your medical records, how long did it take for you to receive them?  You contacted the hospital you delivered at, correct (as opposed to your doctor)?

While DH and I aren't thinking of TTC #2 anytime soon, we probably will start trying within the next year.  I have my annual exam with my OB in July and I want to discuss my VBAC desires/options with her before getting pregnant again.  I am also hoping to have my medical records so we can discuss all the reasons why my C/S happened in the first place (one of her partners delivered DS, so I want to get her opinion).

 *Also, on a unrelated note, did any of you notice increased itchiness and even slight tugging around your incision almost a year after having your C/S?  My incision site has been extremely itchy for the past month and sometimes feels like a hair (even though I'm well-shaven) might be caught in the band of my underwear (sorry if that's TMI).  I'm assuming this is all normal, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this*

It took 2 days for me to get my medical records (although they weren't complete on the first try so I had to go back the next week where they gave me what I needed on-the-spot).  I did have to pay a rush fee to get the records within 2 days.  Otherwise, the normal processing time would have been 10-15 days.
