Success after IF

If you have done a candy bar, help!

What do you think of a candy bar at a 1st birthday, over the top or fun?

What color candies would you do with a Mickey theme? I'm thinking red, black, white, and yellow?

What are some candies you can think of in these colors.

Red is easy so name your favorite red candy.

Can suggest somewhere I can get candy in bulk at discount?

How many pounds for 50 people?

  • When I did this for events (in a former life owned a huge event planning business in LA), we estimated 1/2lb per person if you provide bags (get smaller cellophane ones with twist ties). You could do less but it can get spendy!

  • We did them for Preston and Jordana's 1st birthday and it was Mickey & Minnie Theme! We wrapped them in foil and made our own "wrappers" which we put labels on them each. We did one bar for Preston and one for Jordana. Preston's were Mickey with Mickey stamps and stickers on them in primary colors but the writing on the label was in Red! We purchase the hershey bars in Sams club so they were cheaper!

  • I think a candy bar would be cute. I've never done one, and I have no idea how much to buy. For red candy you could do licorice, those red cinnamon hearts, those red and white peppermints, swedish fish, red laffy taffy.

You could do lemon heads, yellow skittles and salt water taffy for yellow.
