How many betas?

I had betas yesterday at 15 DPO and I am scheduled to go tomorrow as well. If the numbers are good tomorrow, do you think the OB will order them for Friday as well? I know she plans on doing an US as soon as my betas get high enough.

I was interested in your experience.

Mine won't. Some will order them a week out for a third set though. Really though, if they're doubling they can just do the math and figure out how far ahead to set your ultrasound.

I have had 4 and will have another tomorrow...I am going to an RE so I am not sure if that is the difference

I go to an RE and he did 3 of them 48 hours apart (13 dpo, 15 dpo, and 17 dpo). He was on the fence about the 3rd set but decided to go ahead and do it anyway. Then he does ultrasounds weekly starting after 5wks 3days. Since according to LMP that was on Saturday, I didn't get in until Monday where he did an u/s and also a 4th set of betas. I'm pretty sure that will be my last beta.

I only got 2. My OB would have let me get a 3rd but I didn't want to obsess over it anymore.

I would suspect only 2 times would they draw them unless there is something else going on as well. At my 2nd (or third?) Hcg draw they checked my progesterone, which at the time was going down a bit, so while they followed the progesterone levels, they also followed my Hcg to make sure it was still increasing.

My RE ordered three sets, each 2 days from the last. After the third, she said there was no point in doing anymore and that we should just go with the u/s when we could.

My RE did one at 13 DPO, the second at 15 DPO and then a third a week later. The only reason he did the third was because I ovulate late and I had to convince them I wasn't as far along as they thought I was.
