Where does a grown-ass woman get a pair of shorts?  

I go through the same thing every year, can't find a pair of age appropriate shorts that fit well.

I wish I knew.  I decided last year that I am no longer wearing them.  I can't find any stylish ones that fit right and look right. 

I think part of the problem is that short shorts are still very popular, and very few women over the age of 17 look nice in them.

Back when Steve and Barry's was still open I have 2 pairs from SJP's line.  Granted they are short shorts but I am short too so not exactly too short on me KWIM?  I also have 2 pairs of longer style shorts by Gloria Vanderbilt I picked up from Costco.  yes people I buy my clothes from Costco now.

I know they're not typical shorts but I got a few cute pairs of bermuda shorts/walking shorts from Ny & Co last summer. Honestly I don't want any shorts that go much above my knee so these were perfect for me.

A few years back I had good luck getting a pair of shorts from gap that weren't obscenely short, maybe check stores like gap, j.crew, etc. that are aimed towards a more mature shopping audience.

I think GAP has cute ones and Ann Taylor Loft had some not-too-short ones that I bought.

I got some at Kohls last summer that I didn't think were too bad.  Then again, I have no fashion sense so they may have been horrible.

I pretty much only wear Bermuda shorts. Gap, Old Navy, Lands End Canvas, J Crew, sometimes Macy's (Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein sometimes have longer ones).

Then you and I both suck at fashion because I just got a few pair at Kohl's.    I'm hoping to be in a smaller size by the end of summer, so I didn't want to spend a ton of $$.  I get so flippin hot playing outside with DS and I have to have shorts.

I haven't read other replies so I don't know if this was already said, but I like the shorts at NY and Co.  I don't think they're too short, and they run some decent sales sometimes.

I have a pair of bermuda shorts from NY&Co from last year that were my go-to pair.  However, they are too big for me now since I've lost weight.  

I like bermuda shorts, but I hate the way they look with gym shoes - which I like to wear when we are going to do a lot of walking - like for long trips to the zoo, king's island, etc.  I need to try to find some legit shorts.

I hate shorts too, I would rather wear skirts all the time but sometimes it's just not possible.

I had gotten some at Kohls last summer that weren't too bad.  I also actually had found some at Target that weren't too short.  This summer will be another story...in maternity shorts
