It gave me a good laugh! Sure, some days are insanely wild, but others are pretty damn relaxing!

LOL! I've certainly had down times like that. I do sometimes feel guilty since DH works a lot, but then a few nights later I'll be up at 3 am with a screaming toddler who's cutting 2 teeth at once while DH is fast asleep in bed. It's then that I realize that things eventually even themselves out between the two of us.

Confession: I feel kind of crappy today, so earlier I brought both of the kids in bed with me with a bunch of toys/books while I watched Maury.

I don't think anyone denies that there are times when we sit down and watch TV or relax.  I was playing trains at 6:45 this morning.  I put my little one to sleep at 8:00.  If I didn't relax and do some fun stuff during the day, I would be crazy.  I have had a friend over for breakfast, walked 2.5 miles with the kids, ridden on the train, gone to the bounce house, had lunch out, picked Mulberries, and put DS down for a nap.  I still have swim lessons and a pick nick dinner with friends before bed time.  I am hanging on the sofa for the next hour :-)

The keys words in that article are "when the naptimes and planets align".  My kids don't nap and the planets hate me, lol.

Like anything- there are GREAT days, good days, bad days and UGLY days.

That goes for SAH & Working. plain and simple.

True.  Usually the only time I can reallllyyy relax like that is when the LOs are napping.  DD went thru a major no napping phase that lasted over 6 months.  She has napped great the past 3 months or so but guess what?!  Today she didn't nap!!  Please God, don't let this be the start of a no-nap streak again!!  When she doesn't nap, it is hell!!!  I feel like I can't totally relax which is why I really sucked it up the past few months when she did nap.

Right now, I'm on my porch while she plays on/around the porch.  It's pretty nice but definitely not as relaxing as it would be if she was upstairs sleeping!!

My house shone from top to bottom, I started a business from home and now my son is in law school and has a black belt in Judo, so the special foods worked. I considered it a blessing to be able to be a stay at home mom."

I'm sure her portrait is hanging prominently in the SAHM Hall Of Fame.

I think I fall in the lazy slob category.  And I only have one child, so I have extra time to lounge around.

This is pretty much how I feel on a daily basis

The last time I was home full time, was on my maternity leave.  I was sleep deprived, struggling with BFing, crazy hormonal, etc.

Now?  The last 2-3 weeks have been AWESOME for me.  The zoo, playdates with my mommy friends, organizing my house, re-landscaping the back yard, golfing and shopping dates with my girlfriends, lots of gym time.  It's freaking AWESOME. 

I'm kicking myself for working as long as I did, lol.  What was I thinking??

I mostly like it a lot(SAHM). I nap every other day(it depends, but if i need to i do!), I do all the house hold stuff like laundry and cleaning and dishes anyway(even with work/school and prego before!) so now its sooo much easier. My son is over 8 month old, so he gets easier every day. I went out to lunch today with my girlfriend and her kids(and my son and my dog!), went for a walk, did everything around the house... and sometimes nothing around the house, just nap and baby play. I think I probably almost never leave my son alone because he is my one and only baby, but I like having him in my sight and he is used to it too. My one friend is SAHM with 2 kids(3yrs old and 7 month old) and she does few businesses from home since her oldest was 1 year old. I don't know how she does it, she makes a lot of money so great for her! Honestly I don't think I could do it, too much stress. I want to be happy every day of my life if that's possible:) .  No point, just my story:) 

P.S.: I would go back to school and get a degree and all that busy stuff but right now its a time I should enjoy, that's why I let myself be happy.
