Scam?

I won something on ebay over a week ago and paid the same night. Received a receipt, thought all was good.

 I received an email today from the girl saying she never received my payment because it was apparently sent to the wrong email address.  So, could I resend it? She said she already shipped my item.

First, why would you ship an item you hadn't received payment on? Second, it's linked to a bank account, so as long as the payment goes in there, does it really matter what email address it goes to?

Third, when I pay by paypal it's all linked from my bank account to hers, I have nothing to do with what email address it's sent to so if she has wrong info in there, what can I do about it?

I'm not resending my payment, the money has already been taken out of my account.

Any ideas?  Maybe there's something about ebay I don' t know?

That's odd. Did you get a receipt after you paid?  I always get an email from paypal w/ a receipt and I keep them in a folder online. Was the money taken out of your account...I'm assuming so.  I'm not sure what to say, it doesn't make any sense, and it definitely sounds fishy.

that is a scam, and a common one.  do not resend payment.  if you don't get the item soon take action through e-bay.  and i'd alert them as to the interactions with the sender, save and send all e-mails.

Yep, got a receipt. That's why I am not resending it. I paid. I have proof.  If she's having trouble getting the money, then that's between her an paypal, right?  I don't want to ruin my 100% feedback, but I didn't do anything wrong.

Did you use the link or go through ebay to pay with PayPal? If so, then it's her issue to work out with PP. Or did you manually type in her email address when you paid? I also find it strange that she would have already shipped the item.

Used the link from the email I got that I won, and went right to paypal. I don't even know her email address.

How would she know where to send your item if she did not get the payment???
