One of those days...

Just a vent here:

1.  DD#2 woke up twice last night...the second time at 3:30am when she decided it was time to play.  DH tried to get her back to bed, but ultimately she came into our bed around 5...and then the alarm went off at 5:50

2.  Yesterday I mistakenly sent personal information on a new employee to an incorrect email, as in a random stranger...the random stranger responded late last night and I saw the response first thing this morning in my groggy state. On the one hand it's nice that he let us know, but he was extremely rude about it and suggested that I was possibly the most unprofessional and incompetent person on the face of the planet.  Gee, thanks.  I apologized profusely to the new employee, a recent college grad, who was not at all gracious about it.  It's not that I don't think it's a big deal...it's just that I was treating the whole thing seriously and trying to be as professional as possible.

3.   I come back from staff meeting to see that DD#2's daycare has called not once, but twice...left no message and then was not answering when I called back.  Turns out it was nothing to worry about--DCP just wanted to let me know that DD#2 was okay--she was pretty fussy when I dropped her off and another little girl there was really upset.  Apparently my daughter calmed down fairly quickly, while the other girl didn't.  I appreciated the reassurance (is it bad that I wasn't too worried about my crying child?), but a VOICE MAIL to that effect would have saved me 20 min of panic.

Life is not all bad...just had to vent..hopefully to a sympathetic audience...;)

Ugh, what a day. I am completely sympathetic to all of it. And to have to deal with all of this on little sleep!

Ugh, that really sucks. I hope your day gets better! Tell your DCP just to leave you a message next time - I would have been worried too. The curse of cell phones - we can see missed calls and then worry when there's no message!

1--Been there, and it sucks.

2--last year, I checked references for someone I interviewed and he hadn't told his current employer he was looking yet.  The woman I called was so dramatic and I felt terrible.  I called the potential candidate immediately and he was very gracious, but I felt horrible!  I usually kept good records of whether I could check references or whether I had to check with the candidate first but somehow I messed this up.  (I was on a detail at the time, I don't do interviews anymore.)

3.-that would annoy me too!

 This board is so great for vents like this!
