how much should i pay grandma?

My MIL watches my two kids 3x week from 7 to 4:00.  DH goes over during lunch hour and feeds the kids and hangs out with them. I pack lunch and whatever they need. She currently doesnt charge us anything to watch them. But money is getting tight in her house and i know she could use the money. how much do you think would be fair? currently we have just been buying groceries and leaving her cash whenever we get bonuses at work.

We paid FIL $500/month to watch DD five days a week from about 7-6.

I'd say at least $800 a month.

I think it depends on the ages of the kids and how involved she is with them. I would say 600ish since it's Gma and she's not asking for money and I'm guessing wouldn't be working otherwise (??). I pay 700 a month for an in-home daycare where the woman watches 4 babies total, but that's her business.
