Those of you who have had betas-Question

Hey ladies!

So, question-If you had your betas drawn, did they call you with the results, or did you have to call them?

I had mine drawn yesterday afternoon, and my doctors office would get the results this morning. I am just wondering if I should give them some time to call me(it is only 11am right now), or if I should call them.

I am so anxious about my first beta!

Did they mention that that they would be calling?  Sometimes the lab folks forget to tell you what to expect next.  My doctor called me both times.  The first time was around 4 hours after I had gone in.  The second time I was out of town so my doctor had to call the other lab, so it took a little longer.  I would give them until maybe mid-afternoon (3 or 4ish) then give them a call.  Fingers crossed for good numbers

Mine called but they were aware I was super anxious for them and I was having some spotting. I'd give it until 1 maybe and if they haven't called by then I'd call. FX for good doubly numbers!

I always call to get mine.  Did they tell you that they would call you back? If not, I would just call and ask for them.

Mine usually call but they didn't so I called them. They had them right there. They'd just gotten busy. So I would call:)

Well, I got my betas drawn at the hospital after my doctors office had already closed, so I knew they wouldn't get my result until today.

My doctor is also aware that I know all about betas(he was very impressed with all my knowledge lol). I was bleeding like AF yesterday, and I am still bleeding today(but not near as bad)....so I guess I will give it some time! Thanks!

My doctor's office actually has a special patient website where you can sign in and check your own results, but if it didn't you better believe I would be calling them

I've had times where they call me 1st thing in the morning and other times that I had to keep calling their office repeatedly! It's a hit or miss.

My RE's nurse called with the results both times. She called me around noon, when the office was closed for lunch and they had a break in between patients. I wouldn't be at all surprised if yours won't call around that time too! GL! I know it is nerve wracking waiting for the results!

I had my drawn in the morning and I always heard back from them later that afternoon.  I would think that they would call you but if you don't hear back from them in a few hours I would go ahead and give them a call.

I did IVF and my RE dr actually called me himself with beta #1 to let me know I was pregnant.  For beta #2, the RE's nurse called.  I don't know if the protocol is different if you have the beta at RE, OB, hospital, etc.

I wasn't sure if they would call me. They did yesterday. I had my blood drawn on Saturday.

Can I just say that I love your siggy(the Robert Pattinson photos), and I absolutely love your HP ticker!!!! I am way beyond excited for the second part! It will be a sad but exciting day!!!!!!!

 

And thanks everyone! I think I will give them until around 2 or 3 to call me...I don't think I could wait any longer than that!

I had mine drawn at 2:45pm and they called me with the results at 5:15pm.  It was done at my RE's office, though.

I would say wait for them to call you.  If by 1pm they have not called then I would give them a call.

My doctor called me as soon as he got the results (about 2 hours after mine were drawn)

I have had betas drawn that last 3 Fridays. First week I heard the next Wednesday at noon. The next week I heard Tuesday at noon. I still haven't heard from my blood draw last Friday! I'm so not patient and they always take forever to call!

I had mine drawn this morning and they called me around 1:00. I would call if you don't hear from them soon! GL!
