Baby Names

First and Middle Name - two vowels together

Though I'm not pregnant at this point, I've been thinking about baby names.  Is it weird when the first name ends in a vowel, and the middle name starts with a vowel?  DH and I have agreed on the middle name Elizabeth for a girl, but all the FN's I like end with a vowel.

Annaliese Elizabeth
Anna Elizabeth
Elise Elizabeth
Sophia Elizabeth

Any thoughts on what you'd put with Elizabeth (which is pretty common, but I'm 100% ok with that)?

TTC #1 since May 2013 IUI #1 - February 2015 - BFN IUI #2 - May 2015 - BFN IUI #3 - June 2015 - BFN IVF #1 - October 2015 - 7 mature fertilized, all arrested development prior to 5d blast. - major bust Adoption Decision - February 2016

Not weird at all! We are considering Piper Elizabeth if the next LO is a girl.

I think the name Piper is adorable!  My best friend's niece is named that...so cute!

  • I think it's fine. As long they don't end/start with the same sound. ex: Phillip Preston. I don't like the sound of Elise Elizabeth, though, since the names are so similar. I think Annaliese and Anna sound great with Elizabeth. Sophia Elizabeth is hard to say, but I think that's due to the -ia ending, with an -eh sound right after. Sophie Elizabeth is better. Elizabeth pretty much sounds great with anything.

All of those names are beautiful...there is no issue with the double vowel, in my opinion! =)  In fact, I kinda like it that way.
