nbr: allergies?

My throat has been scratchy off and on for several weeks.  At one point I had a runny nose....  but since then, it's just been a scratch.  It's driving me batty.  There's a little bit of drainage in there.  A lot of the time, my voice doesn't sound completely normal unless I clear my throat. 

I haven't had a lot of seasonal allergies, but with this spring I'm wondering if this is typical allergy symptoms. 

Thoughts?

sounds like it. if you're looking for easy natural ways to help get some local honey and eat a tablespoon of it a day. or find a good chiropractor, they really help with allergies.

Is the drainage clear? If it is, then it's probably allergies.

I would take claritin, allegra, or zyrtec for a few weeks to see if it clears it up. I have the best luck with allegra but DH prefers claritin. IT is so nice that these meds are available OTC now. I wouldn't mess with trying to get allergy tested or anything like that unless it starts to bug you a ton. A few "natural" preventatives: vacuum and dust frequently, use a dehumidifer to clear out the extra moisture in the house. Use allergy covers on your pillows and mattresses.

@buckeye- an allergy test for me is difficult.  My skin welts with the slightest scratch (it's "dermagraphic"), so I have to get a blood test.  Thus, they have to pinpoint what to look for.  Royal PITA. 

I took an allegra this morning (dh takes it), and it's definitely better today... I sound much less froggy.  If it's even better tomorrow after another allegra, I'll call my PCP for a prescription for the OTC so I can file it on our FSA.
