CS Ladies, how far in advance does your Dr schedule it?

1. How many weeks prior to due date will you have your CS?

2. How many weeks in advance will your Dr. actually pencil in the date of your CS?

(I hope that all makes sense! My Dr. will be on vacation, so I can't get ANY answers and I'm getting angry.)

If I decide to go the repeat CS route, it will be scheduled at 39 weeks. Question your doctor if they want to do it earlier in the absence of other complications, because 39 has become standard for scheduled CSs.

My doc gets approval for a CS from the insurance pretty much the moment you decide to get it, and schedules a date.

My C-Section is set for 39 weeks and my doc said we will offically/ pencil it in duirng my appointment on June 6th ( I will be almost 33 weeks). After this appt, I start going every two weeks to the ob.

I will have my c-section at either 39weeks for 39w1d. It is tentatively scheduled for June 30th, no time yet though. The actual time and day will be scheduled at either my next appointment or the one after, so either 35 or 37 weeks. {Unless I start going weekly after 35 weeks, I can't remember, then it will be scheduled at 36 weeks.} (Wow, I'm going to be 35 weeks at my appointment next week!!!!eek)

I am going for ONE MORE u/s at the high risk office to look at my placenta at 36 weeks.  I am hoping (although it may be in vain) that my placenta will have moved a bit more by that time.  If not, I am sure we will schedule it the following Monday at 36.5/37 weeks.  I know my OB does scheduled c-sections at 39 weeks.  I think the only case she'd do it earlier is if I go into labor earlier or if I show definite signs of going into labor (since they won't know how fast my labor will progress, I am thinking they don't want me to go into labor with previa).

Our hospitals will not allow an induction or c-section prior to 39 weeks unless there are serious medical reasons or you go into labor on your own.  I'm scheduled for 39 weeks exactly due scheduling complications with our DD making it harder to go later.  

2. How many weeks in advance will your Dr. actually pencil in the date of your CS?

We could have scheduled as soon as we had our dating ultrasound at our first appointment, but waited until 24 weeks.  We have the date and time already on the schedule unless an emergency comes up that bumps us back.

I just found out this morning that they will probably schedule my c-section for July 18, which is a week before my due date.  They won't go any earlier than that.  I was trying to VBAC, but I doubt that it will happen because this baby is big.

We have mine scheduled. We set the date on tuesday, which is seven weeks out. I reminded him about it and responded with " YEAH WE NEED To DO THAT SOON" He called the hospital and got us in for the 7th which is a week before my due date. He said that if we didn't do it so early we would have trouble finding a room at the hospital.

1. The earliest I could do it is exactly 39 weeks (but I'm due on a Sunday...so the earliest is 39w1d). However, I feel the longer they're in there the better, unless they decide to come on their own. SO...my section is scheduled for 4 days prior to my due date.

2. My c-section was officially booked at my 28 week appointment.

i will be scheduled at approximately 38 weeks due to a blood clotting issue. for me, my docor only delivers at one hospital and the hospital's policy is no cs bookings prior to 60 days so i am still waiting.

My doc scheduled mine about 3-4 weeks ago and I haven't even definitively decided on it yet (still considering VBAC).
