and I am freaking out.  I called the on call doctor, who laughed at me (ass) and told me they would test me for toxoplasmosis at my 3 hour tomorrow.

I am terrified and exhausted and beyond worried.  I wish it were August, and that Raquel was in my arms, a healthy and happy baby.

I only eat medium rare beef. Sometimes more on the rare side.

You're okay.  The issue is actually more with ground meat as everytime there's a cut/grind it's an opportunity for bacteria.  With steaks, the bacteria is on the outside.

It was ground meat.  It was meatballs from WFs.  The center was raw, and I didn't realize it until I was chewing on my second piece.

Oh I am sorry they laughed at you, that was rude. I am sure it is fine though. Try to see the laughing as a good sign, if it was serious and they were worried, they wouldn't be laughing.

I think you'll be ok. How undercooked was it? I've done that and freaked out but I Ok.
ETA - oops I didn't see your description in the reply. I also agree with Megan that even though the doctor was rude for laughing, I think it's a good sign that he didn't think it was serious.

I craved chopped sirloin from a local restaurant (which is basically just an oversized hamburger patty smothered with cognac sauce onions and mushrooms) and would order it still mooing...if it makes you feel any better!

You'll be fine.  I was at a work sushi dinner last week and ordered a cooked sushi roll.  I was halfway through eating it when I discovered they had given me the wrong roll and it was essentially a spicy tuna roll and completely raw.  Oh well...

Aw, that sucks!  Like PP said though, I think you will be fine.  Your doc is being very pro active about it, and I expect to hear a happy update when the results come in.
