Pregnant after a Loss

So paranoid...Another 1st Tri Q (TMI)

Ok, so I have progesterone suppositories that I have to put in daily.  Since I found out last Tuesday that I am pregnant, it has felt like my cervix was low/hard.  Today when I put it in, it felt high/soft.  Is this difference ok?  Does it sound to you like me cervix is open?  I know if it is open that is not such a good sign.  I have to admit, I don't even know if what I am feeling is my cervix, I am just assuming that is case.  Any thoughts?  I wish I could stop being paranoid...its gonna be a long first trimester. :-/ TIA

  • I wish I could help you, but you are going to drive yourself crazy by feeling your cervix so much.  I have never tried to do this, so have no idea.  I did hear that you can irritate your cervix like this and cause bleeding.  It is best if you have your ob check you down there and tell you what is going on.  I know this is not the answer you were looking for.  I hope you find your answer soon.  GL

  • The cervix is often high and soft in early pregnancy, but every women is different.  If you are concerned, I would check in with your Dr.

  • I never used the cervix position when I charted, so I can't help with that- but, my doctor told me the progesterone supplements (I'm on them still, at almost 13 wks) make your cervix sensitive & prone to bleeding.  Just an FYI in case your OB didn't mention it :)  I know it is so very hard, but try to stay calm & be patient.  Early PgAL is really difficult, I found it helped to use the PgAL mantra "today I am pregnant and I love my baby" and I also told myself "be calm and patient" over and over & tried to do "yoga breathing" to calm down whenever my thoughts ran wild.  It did help!
