My DH and I have been TTC for two years. We went to our first RE appointment today. She says she believes that I have PCOS. She is prescribing my Clomid and suggested starting IUI either now or in three months if the clomid by itself doesn't do the trick.
We are not sure what we are going to do...Anyone have some advice? Should we wait and see if the clomid works or go right for the IUI and clomid? How expensive is this proceedure?
She gave us so much info today I am a little overwhelmed.
Re: PCOS and Clomid...
I also have PCOS along with other "Woman" problems. For our first child we had been TTC for almost 2 years and the Clomid work the first round. Just did our first round again for our second child and no luck this month. If money is a factor I would recommend just trying the Clomid and seeing what happens. Sometimes thats all you need. I also second the Metformin. That worked wonders for me and the PCOS.
Just a note. I did all through my regular doctor instead of going to a RE. He was more than willing to help us and so far is working out great.
