So I'm guessing like most things that not all wool dryer balls are created equal. Are there brands that you love and those that I should stay away from?
I found this seller on etsy who has good reviews, has anyone bought from them?

the etsy shop LuckyHanks was recommended to me and the balls I got from there are great. I like the ones I later made myself just as well. Dryer balls are so expensive and yet so easy to make.
Someone on the boards recommended that vendor earlier. I am placing an order tonight for them unless someone else has a better recommendation. If I remember correctly, the bumpie said that although they are expensive they last a LONG time.

When you make your own how much yarn do you need per ball? I'm just trying to figure out if it's more cost effective to make my own. I would assume it is, but it never hurts to ask.

I bought one skien of Fisherman's Wool at Michael's using a coupon for about $6 and was able to make 3 full size balls and two smaller balls. These five are just right for my large loads. I've found I can dry all of DH's work pants in one dryer load instead of two using all five. Making them took maybe an hour plus wash/dry time. Getting them wet with hot water before putting them in the wash really helped.

Thank you! Then it is definitely cheaper to make them. I will be giving this a try. Thanks for the help :-).
