What ideas do you have? Anything planned?

It's a little early, but was curious to hear if anyone else has been pondering first father's day.

Its not very sentimental but DH is getting a smoker. He's wanted one forever so I know he'll love it. I'll probably also frame one of the newborn pics we had done so he can have a new daddy-baby picture for work.

I've been pondering beyond belief - I want to do something very special - DH took me to a spa and got me a massage and mani/pedi for mothers day - it may sound run of the mill but you all know how easy it is to let yourself go and how much stress we are all under in the NICU - so that day was amazing.  DH keeps telling me not to spend any money on him but I need to do something nice.  Of course I'm going to make him a card from me and Madi and cook him his favs that day but I'm thinking I might get him something to do that hes always wanted to do - like jump out of an airplane (I'm too chicken to let him though!) I'm going to follow this thread and see if anyone else has ideas

I'm getting H this print with his name, my name, and Gabe's name in the pears.  Our last name means Pear Tree.  I think he'll really like it.  I really don't know if I'll be able to wait to give it to him.  I ordered it Friday.  I'm waiting for the seller to send me the proofs.  I'm quite excited.

it's my DH's second fathers day this year but I ordered him a personalized book from https://www.flattenme.com/us/ it came today and is awesome, he will love it! I also ordered him a flight lesson at a local small airport.. so he will be with an instructor and be able to fly a plane for 30 mins or so!

How funny.  This is what I was thinking too.  DH has been talking about getting a smoker for a while now.

I feel dumb - what's a smoker? If I Googled it I'm sure crazy images of people puffing away on ciggs will pop up and I'm certain that's not the kind of smoker you're referring to

DH is really into the Velveteen Rabbit - has a bunny tattoo on his arm. When I was pg he used to say how he couldn't wait to read it to LO. When I looked up the book on Amazon I also found a stuffie that goes with it. I'm going to give him a handmade card with LO's prints and leave the items near LO for him to find. Then I'll make his his favorite dinner or something. Maybe a "pastry" made out of meat. He always jokes that he wants everything made out of meat - we'll see what I can do with that creatively. We were vegan when we met and working for the world's largest AR group. We embrace change.

I'm ordering it in 11x14 because it will go in our bedroom matted in a 16x20 frame.
