I got a 2010 Bob during an Amazon Flash Deal last week (great price). It came today and it is sitting in my family room. It is awesome but I feel sick. I know I've posted before about this, but I have had a really hard time embracing anything to do with this pregnancy. I have not done, bought, washed or taken out of storage a blessed thing, until now.
It's a single stroller. DD is nearly 4 and has despised strollers since she learned to walk at 10 months. I can count on one hand the number of times she has ridden in a stroller since then. For real. Guess who is FREAKING out and saying it is her stroller? Guess who is sitting in it right now watching Caillou? Sigh.

Congrats on the big purchase. Huge step!
I betcha emphasizing how BIG a girl she is would help with the BOB situation...eventually. Sounds like somebody wants the new toys to be for her too

~All AL'ers welcome~
The times, they are a-changing for DD...and the BOB is tangible evidence of that...
I completely understand the feeling sick thing. ((Hugs)).
But other than the nausea, I am curious to know how you like the BOB, as that is the stroller recommended to me by a friend. Thoughts?

Thanks ladies. I am just so scared. I know it is a coping mechanism. I wish I could fast forward these last few weeks. I feel like my anxiety is controlling my life (this is not isolated to pg., though). I even asked my bereavement counselor last week if she knew of someone who deals with general anxiety. She said no. Um, thanks.
OK, onto happier topics. The BOB. It's raining so I haven't taken it outdoors, but it was so easy to assemble and it feels so sturdy and high-quality. We did a snap and go last time, then MacClaren Triumph. This just feels different. I can't explain it, but it is so smooth. The shock system is amazing, the front wheel lock/unlock is so cool, and it steers like a DREAM, 500x better than what we had last time (yeah, I may have been zooming DD around the house in it). It is pretty big though if space is an issue for you. It's just really awesome. DD is a BIG kid, 40+ lbs and well over 3 feet tall, and pushing her even over carpeting, was a cinch.

I know exactly how you feel; I have been reacting the same way for the last few weeks. We are getting into that time where we want to start prepping for the new arrivals, but the fear makes is painfully difficult.
My DH thinks it is the hormones, and he insists that I stop getting so mad at myself for the way I feel. Granted, he also fusses at me for being so negative, so those two things don't always go together. The thing is, he is right about the negative thing. So now I'm trying to get through my fear and get ready.
One of the nice things that you've got going for you is that you just need to pull things out of storage as opposed to researching/buying everything. You've got time, and you can do things as the pace you need to for you. I really think that is important. (((Hugs)))
I read Caillou and immediately started singing the theme song in my head. "I'm just a kid who's 4, each day I learn some more".....Thanks for that!
DD is just trying to stake her ground! She will get used to the idea of a sibling soon. I purchased the sit/stand combo a while back and luckily when DS wants to ride, he typically stands, so we should have an issue when this one arrives (FX)!
{HUGS} to you! I hope your anxiety lessens a little soon so that you can enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy until your bundle of joy gets here!!

haha, your DD sounds like my niece! So cute.
Congrats on getting the stroller. When we got ours, I made DH leave it in a room I don't go in very often because I didn't want to see it.
