Marissa has her 1st diaper rash from a new brand of diapers that we tried, and it doesn't seem like Desitin is taking it away
How long do these last?
What do you use for diaper rash?
Is there a certain amount of days that this should last before going to a Pedi & do they have a prescription cream to take it away?
~~Thanks in advance
Re: Diaper Rash...
5 days max then I would contact your Dr. Try not using wipes and using a peri bottle to clean her and pat and air dry. Give her as much no diaper time as possible then use the barrier creambefore putting a diaper on.

Like PP mentioned, give her as much naked-butt time as possible. Wash with water only, or water & baby shampoo / wash if necessary. Pat dry.
If it's especially red / painful, I would only give it another day or so, especially if the creams aren't working. Depending on the cause, they can prescribe another cream to help.
For example, DD's last bad rash ended up being a fungal infection, and we needed a prescription. It was almost completely gone within the first 2 applications of the Rx cream.

Oh, also try to think if she's had any new foods the past few days. Sometimes their skin will react to certain foods after they poop / pee, even if their digestive system tolerates them fine.
Or with it being warmer, do you know if she got especially hot before the rash showed up? Some babies are more sensitive to heat rashes, or rashes exacerbated by heat.
Those types of things will help you to know what you can do / not do in the future to help prevent future rashes.
