BOB jogging stroller experts - Chicco infant seat question

I was hoping I could find more people here to confirm that the way it appears on the BOB website, if I have a chicco infant seat the only adaptor that will work is the one that is designed for the new 2011's.  Is this correct?  I was thinking I could get a good deal on a revolution on craigslist, but then I would definitely not be able to use it until next spring.

I'm trying to make a quick decision between $275 on craigslist, or take advantage of the REI sale and get the stroller and adaptor for $425.  Thanks!

Re: BOB jogging stroller experts - Chicco infant seat question

  • That is the way I understand it.

I wanted a BOB but then MH went to Hudsons to look for soemething random (a salvage store in our area) and they had gotten a HUGE shipment of baby items, including jogging strollers.  We bought a Joovy Zoom for $115 and I'm very happy with it.  The front wheel locks in place if you are running and can swivel if you are walking.  Our Little Guy loves it as well.

We have the 2010 BOB revolution.  We used the adaptor with our Chicco.  It was fine.  Once you buckle the strap across the seat, it is very stable.  There was no way the seat was going anywhere.

I say save your money and get the older BOB.

Also...if you do use the older BOB, you have to remove one of the bars from the seat adaptor for your Chicco to work.  It's, literally, two screws.

You can look it up on the internet.  There are a lot of people who explain the process.

This is what we did. We have a Combi carseat that wasn't "compatible" with our BOB stroller. We removed the top bar of the car seat adapter and then the strapped the seat in with the strap that comes with the adapter.

Dito this.  Our's is the 2010 version and I always felt like our Chicco was stable even though it wasn't designed for it.
