I originally was going to get video monitor with a 2nd camera for Baby B, but a friend of mine said she didn't think it was really necessary. I also saw the Angelcare Movement/Sound, which got great reviews, but does it work with twins or do you need 2 separate ones? That is, for the movement part. So confusing!!!!
Re: Monitors - which one do you like or hate?
we have this one - https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2815277&CAWELAID=107504020
works awesome. Don't need it at night b/c we can hear the babies downstairs in our living room from their room upstairs in the nursery and also from across the hall in our bedroom.
We use it a lot now that we are outside while the babies are napping.
We have the Angelcare monitors. One with sound and one that's just a sensor pad. If you're going that route, Amazon has a much better deal on the newer sound/motion unit than BRU. We don't have the digital sound monitor and it's so buzzy and staticy.
I like the piece of mind that it gives me but now that we've got babies that roll all around the crib, we get lots of false alarms. So much so we don't go running anymore. It's more "oh, baby girl is in her corner again. who's getting up to reset the monitor?"
Angelcare monitors saved our sanity. We still use them for the twins and only recently stopped with Griffin, b/c he moved to a twin... but when he went to a toddler bed we still used it - and it was great b/c we would know if he got out of bed - and he never did b/c he knew the alarm would go off
it's so nice to not have to wonder all night if they are breathing- esp when they are sick, etc - it eases the worry sooo much- allowing us to sleep easy.
we have one for each baby - got one new, the newer one that they make with the unit that tells the temp in the room, etc- and got one used on ebay... we only use one parent unit since it picks up the sound from the other one beeping if it does go off.
LOVE them.
