intro and catching up!

Hi Ladies,

I've been lurking for over a week now (seems like longer...) since getting my first BFP after 2.5years of trying. We have been seeing an RE since January and this was our second IUI cycle. I have been posting pretty regularly on the 3T (trouble trying to conceive) board before this, and I am happy to see several familiar faces from that board here!

It's taken me this long to post here because I've been waiting to get some kind of confirmation besides a cheapie HPT. My clinic made me wait a week for a beta blood test, but the results are in and I can officially say today that I am pregnant! I'm very excited but still very cautious, as I know many of you are feeling as well.

I wanted to catch up on some of the GTKY questions that I saw posted:

1. My passport is USA but Japan is my home culture/language/country- I spent my whole life there until college so that's where I'm "from" and Japanese is my first language.

2. I'm currently living in Seoul, South Korea. DH and I have been here for 6 years and we love it (so sorry if I post at wierd times- I'm in a pretty different time zone)!

3. I am an elementary school music teacher and I love my job!!

I was so happy to see not only some fellow 3T-ers but also a Japanese teacher and a fellow ES music teacher!! And everyone seems so wonderful and supportive, I can't wait to get to know you all better, hopefully all the way through these next 8 months or so.

Sorry for the long intro- I have been looking forward to writing this for a long time!

Not really sure. If I go by my last AF, then my own calculations say January 28, but I'm waiting until I see the u/s this Saturday. I triggered on CD8 so I'm a little ahead of the game, I think.

I hope you get to stay on the January board! My first US is on Thursday, I am a ball of nerves. I have been over analyzing everything! Will feel better when I can see the baby growing int here!!

thanks! I've enjoyed reading through the blog this week- I so appreciate the people who put this together! I'm looking forward to adding my EDD once I have my u/s on Saturday...
