Athan.

It's a baby boy due soon.  His 2 older sisters and dad have "A" names, so I guess they wanted Ethan to fit in with the letter trend they have going on?  

I'm not a fan, what do you think?

Really? I typed it in to a few name sites and didn't come up with anything. I can just see, "it's like Ethan but with an A" popping up over and over throughout this kids life.

My baby brother's name is Dallen. We're always having to say "It's Allen with a D." My mother got his name from a gallon of milk. That being said, my little sister's name is Si'Anna, coming from the color sienna. I named my oldest little brother, Dakota James.

I feel like namers who try to keep up a letter trend in a sibset are going the square peg, round hole route. I suppose it could be short for the Greek name, Athanasios, but I doubt it - most people aren't familiar with this name at all. Then there's the bonus others have mentioned - saying it's like one name, but with a different letter.
