Pregnant after 35

New to board.

Hi everyone.  I've only posted once on the 1st trimester board; and I thought I'd introduce myself here.  I'm 39 and expecting my first baby!!  I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy last June that was my first pregnancy.  I am 9 weeks along and anxious to get past the first trimester. Boy did morning sickness jump on my back last week!!Ick!  It's a little better now.  I'm nervous about this baby because my husband already has a 13 year old daughter.  She says that she is happy, but who knows what will happen when the baby comes.  Any advice?

Wishing everyone happy and healthy babies!!! Smile Take care

  • Congratulations, and welcome!

I've had an ectopic rupture.  NO fun!  I think the daughter will be pretty excited, most of the time.  I have four half-siblings who ranged from almost adolescent to mid-teens when I was born, and they had a lot of fun with my younger sister and myself.  I think as long as she feels involved it'll go great.

I'm 43.  I hope your pregnancy is easy and healthy!

  • Wishing you a h&h pregnancy.  Congrats and welcome!
  • Congrats and welcome! I had a m/c (blighted ovum) in Dec and then got the BFP in Jan so I know how nervewracking it can be waiting to hit all the "milestones" I also have a SD who is about to turn 15, the only thing is we haven't been able to tell her yet. She lives in GA, us in NC, with her maternal grandparents. Due to MH working OOT so much, her soccer schedule, and an illness on her side of the fam, we have not been able to go see her since I passed the 13 week mark (I was 13 week when my OB did an u/s and discovered the BO), but I'm hoping she will be excited Smile

Best of luck for a h&h pregnancy!
