AW: Babies came to my triathlon today!

First post-baby triathlon, and DH brought the boys.  I seriously started crying when I saw them at the finish.

About .05 seconds after this was taken: "OMG, someone take the heavy one! My arms are quivering."

Finally, our family + The BOB.  This is the greatest running stroller of all time. Worth every single penny.

    Thanks, ladies.

How awesome you're doing one!  That's fantatic.

Mine was a sprint tri. 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run.  When do I train?  Honestly, I don't train for the swim or bike.  I've swum once in two years (two weeks ago) and biked once (three days ago).  I run 4-5 days/week and wing the rest.

I did several tri's before babies, so I knew what I was getting into.  I'll probably have to train a bit more before the olympic tri I'm doing this fall.

Good luck to you.  You'll looooove it.

  • have you posted a race report yet?

not sure if you caught mine (my olympic was last weekend). the more i think about it, the more unhappy i am with my performance.  i dont think i am going to doanother one until september, though.  it i hard to  train (adequately) now that i have twins.

i agree with the PP who says you look fantastic!  very hot momma ;)  congrats on getting back into it.

  • Congrats!  I am going to sign up for a half in November as my motivator to get back into shape.  DH is running Boston in April (he's overflow from this year) and I'm sad that the babies and I won't be able to be there to meet him at the finish.  Your boys definitely do look proud of you--as they should be!

Just posted!  I read your report, and I'm sorry you were dissappointed.  I was thinking about you and cheering that day.  Totally agreed about being too hard to train properly  with twins.  It's easy to run with babies, but I can't swim/bike with them, and any time I do have to do something, I'd much rather run.

I'm no you, but thanks for the hot props.  I walked around with just a sports bra for a bit looking for my shirt.  Thanks for not being there with your six pack to show me up. Wink

  • Congrats on the tri!

I didn't reach my goal of a half Sad (race was last sunday).  I am so very bummed right now.  I was training as much as I could, but kept having foot pain.  found out, I have a tumor in my toe.  so, surgery soon.

So happy for you!!  we have a BOB too, and I agree... it is the best stroller for runs/walks, etc.  Congrats again!~ you look great!
