Hmmm. Is this sizing right?

I was looking at the Crankypants website and this is the sizing they list:

6-12 Months: Waist- 16-18", Rise- 16", Inseam- 8"
12-18 Months: Waist- 17-19", Rise- 17", Inseam- 9"
18-24 Months: Waist- 18'20", Rise-18", Inseam- 10"

Is that accurate? There's no way they would fit DS. He's a 16 waist, 20-21 inch rise, and 9-10 inseam. He's tall and kind of skinny. His height is all in his torso. He's 24 lbs and 35ish inches.

  • Don't know that I'm much help. But Z is about 18 and 18. And he turns 1 this next week. But he just recently started "filling out" he's tall and skinny too.

  • i have a pair of the large and i think they're more like a 12-18 rather than an 18-24.  the waist can be tightend down alot since it's just a drawstring, but i wish the rise was bigger so they'd last longer.

  • Yeah, DS's high rise is part of why I make my own!  I have never seen a ready made pair that have the long enough rise and inseam for him.

    You have mail!

  • This is the sizing I use:

    Newborn - W: 13" H: 15" Leg: 7.5" R: 14" I: 6.5"
    Small - W: 14" H: 18" Leg: 9" R: 16" I: 7.5"
    Medium - W: 17" H: 20" Leg: 10" R: 18" I: 9"
    Large - W: 22" H: 23" Leg: 12" R: 19" I: 11"
    X-Large - W: 24" H: 25" Leg: 14" R: 20" I: 13"

I have found that for my kids, who run about average, smalls last until 9 or so months, where mediums still fit DS, but are getting a tad too short in rise and inseam.

I found the same issue with their sizing, it seemed really off for the ages...

They're wool pants/covers, not diapers.  They tend to be very pricey though!
