name for a 3rd boy is sooo hard!

when you have kids of the same gender, naming them is so hard.

we won't know what we are having, but we want to have our names set. girls we are good with because we've had girl names rolling around since we starting thinking about having kids. boy names however is so much harder because we feel like we have used our first and second favorites already....and a third place name just doesn't seem right...

help!

Britton, Mac, Davis, James David (double name), Colton (love, but can't use), Monroe, Sutton....

thoughts- suggestions?

Most people around here probably won't like Davis (because it's typically a surname) but I do! I kind of like Monroe, but now all I can think of is Mariah Carey's poor little girl with this name. Others I like..

Hmmm I am not too crazy about any of the names you are tossing around...sorry.

Britton, Monroe and Sutton I have seen on more girls than boys.

Mac sounds like a cool NN.

Davis is eh.

James David is OK

Colton I could like but you wrote that you can't use it.

If we have another boy our list would be Uriah, Julian, Leo, Max and Rafael.

I agree w/ pp ? there are lots of girls named Britton, and I'll bet there will be lots of girls named Monroe now that Mariah Carey has named her daughter Monroe.

Instead of Britton, how about Brennan, Barrett, or Beckett?

I like Mac as a nn, maybe Cormac as a fn?

I like Davis as well.

Since you like the last-name-as-first-name style, are there any family names you could use as a fn? What's your maiden name? Your mom's maiden name? Your grandma's, etc.?

I can see this being difficult, I am struggling with boy # 2's name here.

Out of the ones you listed I like

Mac and James David, the others are NMS.
