Where to donate swing & bouncer?

Goodwill said they wouldn't take them. Is there a place that will?

Wow, did they say why they wouldn't take them?

    I'd try a women's shelter.

  • Weird, I donated my swing to Good Will.  You could bring them over to Kid to Kid or Once Upon A Child.  Or see if anyone on the board is interested in them :)
  • Here are some places that might take them:

    Any Baby Can

    SafePlace

    Caritas

    Austin Pregnancy Resource Center

Do you have a church?  They might like them for a nursery or know of a family in need.  Do you use a daycare or know friends who use daycare?  They might be able to use them in their infant room.

Alternately, if you just want them gone, you can post them for free here or on Craigslist.   Or if you want to sell them, you can do the same.

I'd try Safeplace, really great organization.  I can't believe they won't take them either.

  • There is also a new consignment shop called little green beans off 183 and Burnet and you could give it to them.
  • Thanks for all the recommendations. I think we might try Safe Place first, but we have to wait for their donation hours. I thought about Craigslist, but it can be annoying trying to meet up with people, and I'm amazed how many people don't show up, even when you're giving away something for free.
