How long does it take for the county to record a birth?

I want to order a certified birth certificate, but I am wondering if I need to wait.  Not sure how long it takes King County to register this info.  Anyone know?

I'm pretty sure you can just send in now and they'll send it when it's ready. We sent our order in pretty fast if I recall.

I think I remember the nurses at the hospital telling me to wait until the baby was 2 weeks old to send it in.
