Maybe I'm destined to be a loser!

Does anyone else feel apprehensive about hanging out with new people? I want close girlfriends because I don't have any, but then again, I love just hanging out with my son alone during the day. I just don't understand how I got this way. In high school I loved being with friends, but then once I moved into my dorm in college, I started being a loner. Help! lol.  Does anyone else feel like they're in my shoes? My husband tells me to just make friends, but it's like I don't want to.

I think it is all in perspective.  Honestly, when I had one kid I enjoyed spending time with her.  We had the very occasional playdate.  Once #2 came along, I wanted some adult conversations.  Honestly, if you are okay with being a loner (which you aren't because you have DS), that is all that matters.  You are not a loser just because you have no desire to make friends - as long as YOU don't think of yourself as a loser, that is all that matters.  You are the super-cool Mom of a rad DS!!
